Main Building Construction
Topping-out Ceremony
Held on May 19, 2021.
The ceremony celebrated the completion of the building's structural frame and prayed for the safe completion of the remaining work.
Column Setting Ceremony
Held on January 26, 2021.
Marked the installation of the first steel column of the main building, praying for safety during the assembly process.
Groundbreaking Ceremony
Construction of the main building began on March 27, 2020.
On April 22, the groundbreaking ceremony was held with maximum consideration for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, such as strictly limiting the number of attendees and ensuring sufficient space between them.
Land Development
Safety Prayer Ceremony
March 2019: Commenced land preparation.
Development work began at the Tohoku University Aobayama New Campus after obtaining all necessary permits.
Completion of Land Development
The land development work passed all inspections and was completed on November 30, 2020.
